Dear Scapegoat Review community,

After much thought, I’ve decided to place Scapegoat Review on hiatus following the September 2027 issue. It has been an extraordinary privilege to read, publish, and share so much remarkable poetry over the years, and I’m deeply grateful to every poet, editor, and supporter who has been part of this journal’s life.

Effective immediately, submissions will be closed as we prepare the remaining issues through September 2027. The work already entrusted to us will continue to be handled with care, and I look forward to bringing these final issues into the world.

Running a literary journal is a labor of love, and Scapegoat Review has been one of the great creative commitments of my life. This hiatus is a chance to pause, reflect, and honor what we have built together.
